Fook Kee Seafood Restaurant 福記海鲜飯店 (醉猫)

Fook Kee Seafood Restaurant 福記海鲜飯店 (醉猫)

This is a lost and found  restaurant for almost 2 years.

My family used to patron this  authentic famous restaurant when it was originally located along Jalan Peel, Kuala Lumpur during the mid 90s.
As the development begins to flourish around this  part of Kuala Lumpur, this Restaurant has to make way.   First to Queens Park and later when Queens Park was torn down, they moved to Cheras and we parted ways because of the distance.   Even then we used to come back to patron it once a while. That was when we lost touch for more than two years.
Recently, we managed to track it down thru FB and the rest is history.

And I strongly believed there are many people used to patron this restaurant and lost touch with it like me.  Hope this post will help those to who are searching high and low for this popular restaurant for those staying around KL and Cheras area.

This restaurant serve many delicious dishes.
Prices are reasonable.
I give the restaurant a 8 out of 10 on my scale!

2 slices of banana and a few pieces of corns

In Penang, the food paradise, almost at every turn of corner, along main road, side lane are where special and unique food can easily be found.
This old man has been doing business for many years along Burma road in Penang. Somewhere opposite the 'Him Hiang" shop.
You will get a piece of Apom Balik at RM0.40. But you will never get enough for 1piece! Next time when you are in Penang do try out this Penang Hawker delight!

As we can't find a parking lot on this busy road, we just stop at the road side and packed 20 pieces of Apom for our afternoon snacks, Don't have to time to chat with this old man!

Koay Chap (Rice flour Noodles) 粿汁 - Dining Out

Dining out

On early Saturday morning, we left Penang at 6.45am and headed to Alor Star. It was a working trip for my husband, we just tagged along during the 2 weeks school's break. Arrived Sg Petani almost 8.00am.

Koay Chap - This authentic hawker delight seemed only can be found in Sungai Petani, Kedah. Correct me, if otherwise. The stall opens early in the morning, and by 9.30am the food is sold out. We saw local people came to 'ta pau' (literary means buy in pack to take away). So, be sure to go there earlier to avoid disappointment.
The stall owner told us that when he was 13 years old, he followed and helped out his father to man the stall, today the business is entering to the 3rd generation.

Location - Its in the town center opposite the Sg Petani TM office. A lane behind a row of shops, selling foods in the morning only.
