Claypot Pork rib Dry Curry 排骨干咖喱


Who can resist this tempting clay pot curry??

 
It is a mouth watering dish that is hard to resist! 


A very old fashion and traditional  curry with no fix  amount of ingredients.  All ingredients are measure with estimation that we termed as  ' agak agak' locally.    ^_^   But the end result turned out to be marvelous!

Ingredients to pound/blend ~

About 10 small onion,  1 pip of garlic, small piece of ginger, 2 buah keras, a piece of belancan, 2 pcs of turmuric (kunyit)  about 20  dry chili (soak in water till soft)   - all pound/blend  into paste.
2 stalks of curry leaves

600 gms of pork rib/ 1/2 chicken  (marinate with some salt and curry powder and set aside)
4 -5 potatoes  peel and cut into desire size and boil in hot water till half cooked.

  1. Heat 3 to 4 tabsp of oil in the clay pot add in the blended ingredients and fry with medium high fire till oil appeared.  Add in the curry leaves. 
  2. Add in the pork rib/chicken pieces to cook for a while, add about 1/2 bowl of water and add in the potatoes and cook about 10 mins  or so.   The curry is ready to serve with hot rice or roti jala. ( Will shall my roti jala recipe later on my blog)  
Note:  I did not use and santan for the dishes and yet it turned out superb!!

DIY Crispy Skin Roast Pork (Siew Yoke) 烧肉


As I long as I  can recalled my previous Roast pork were not as good and successful  as this end result. 
The fact is before I upload any mouth watery  food, be it bakery. scrumptious dishes, desserts, snacks, there is a story behind it!  All hard work, time, passion,  labour of love, sweat, frustration and failure that I'd been through during  the food preparation. 
All I wanted is  to present the best food photos to tempt your appetite and for your eyes to enjoys the food.  The satisfaction and joys  knowing  that you  have benefit and love my food are beyond  description of words!   Thank you folks from the bottom of my heart!  \(^_^)/
 

These Roast Pork were a hit on the dinning table.  From the expression on their face, you know they really enjoyed the dish!

Steamed Spare Ribs with Fermented Black Beans 豉汁蒸排骨


Simple and easy to prepare main dish for dinner

Ingredients

600 spare ribs
1 whole bulb of garlic (minced)
1 tbsp fermented black beans or tow see
1 fresh red chili (Chopped)
1 tomato cut into wedges ( not in the original recipe)

Seasoning
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tbsp cornflour
1 tsp sesame oil
some pepper
Drizzle of water

Method

  1. Chop spare-ribs into small pieces. place them in a bowl. Add in seasoning, mix well and leave ribs for three hours.
  2. heat up two tablespoons of oil. saute garlic and fermented black beans. Dish up and add to no. (1). Add in the chopped red chili, tomato wedges. Mix well and pour contents into a plate.
  3. Add water into a steamer, bring it to a boil.
  4. Steam no. (2) over medium heat for 34-40 minutes till meat has softened.
  5. Serve hot
