I learned this chinese new year dish at Spastic Center, Petaling Jaya, on one of their Charity cooking demonstration. For those who are living within klang valley and interested to learn some cooking tips and participate on charity for the Spastic children are welcome to attend the cooking demo once every month on the last saturday of each month. Here goes the recipe
1 no. Medium pumpkin
150gm diced pumpkin
150 gms razor clam
50gm diced carrot
60gms diced bombay onion
3 pips diced garlic
Optional: dry chillies, chili padi, button mushroom
1 g dry weight - fatt choy - soaked in water for a while
20gm diced sweet peas
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp soy sauce
Remove flesh of pumpkin, dice and leave for later use. Steam whole pumpkin shell for 10 mins.
Fragrant ingredients a till aromatic. Add ingredients B, mix well and simmer till pumpkin flesh is sofe. Further simmer till almost dry. Scoop into cooked pumpkin shell and garnish as desired.
