Golden Pumpkin 雜錦黃金


I learned this chinese new year dish at Spastic Center, Petaling Jaya, on one of their Charity cooking demonstration. For those who are living within klang valley and interested to learn some cooking tips and participate on charity for the Spastic children are welcome to attend the cooking demo once every month on the last saturday of each month. I will post the date and time of the charity cooking demo on facebook from time to time. Melt in the Mouth Pineapple Tarts 2

Pineapple tarts are always on the top list of baking every chinese new year celebration.  I used to prepare my very own pineapple jam which is a tedious and long hours of preparation task.  For the last 2 years I tried the ready packed pineapple jam in the bakery shop and found that the jam are not as sweet as I assumed, since then I am using ready pineapple jam for my tarts.  Save time and energy but quality is not jeopardise.  Yeah! Yeah!
For 2013 my tarts come with a new appearance to usher this year of the Water Snake.

CNY'13 Dish - Butter Prawns 奶油虾

This is the finger linking food served on the 6th day of Lunar New Year 2013.  with my brother in law and family joining us.  Beside butter prawns, mix vegetables, Hainam Chicken (of course)  Vegetarian Oyster Mushroom in Cereal Crust 香脆麦片鲍鱼菇 and Chinese Herbal  soup were served.    An relishing meal tat enjoy by everyone.

Fabulous Coffee Layer Cake

Made these Fabulous layer cake for the Water Snake 2013 CNY celebration.   
When I baked and posted these lovely Coffee Layer Cake  on a baking group headed by Step on  Facebook, the response was overwhelming with many 'likes'.  Here I am to share this wonderful recipe with all as I promised.
I had baked and Indonesian Layer Cake  during last Chinese New Year Celebration.  It turned out superb.
